چکیده
The binding interactions of cucurbit[8]uril (Q[8]) with l -valine, d -leucine, and -methionine, both in aqueous solution solid state, have been studied by 1 H NMR spectroscopy X-ray crystallography.

Chromatography of amino acids on starch columns; separation of phenylalanine, leucine, isoleucine, methionine, tyrosine, and valine.
In the past few years, several methods for the chromatographic fractionation of mixtures of amino acids have been introduced by Martin and Synge and their coworkers. Chromatography of t,he N-acetyl amino acids on silica gel columns has been employed by Martin and Synge (1, 2)) and has been further studied by Tristram (3). The separation of the free amino acids by chromatography on paper, follow...
متن کاملLysine, methionine, phenylalanine, arginine, valine, isoleucine, leucine, and threonine maintenance requirements of broiler breeders.
Five hundred and sixty Cobb-Vantress broiler breeders were used to determine the maintenance requirement of dietary Arg, His, Ile, Leu, Lys, Met, Phe, Thr, and Val in 10 21-d assays using the comparative slaughter technique. Fifty sexually immature broiler breeder pullets per assay were given crystalline amino acid diets containing graded levels of Arg, His, Ile, Leu, Lys, Met, Phe, Thr, or Val...
متن کاملInterconversion of valine and leucine by Clostridium sporogenes.
Clostridium sporogenes has been found to require L-leucine and L-valine for growth in a minimal medium, although valine can be replaced by isobutyrate and leucine by isovalerate. Cells grown in minimal media incorporated significant 14C from [14C]valine into leucine and from [14C]leucine into valine. Growth with [4,5-3H]leucine also resulted in the incorporation of 3H into valine. These results...
متن کاملGlycyl dehydropeptides of leucine, valine, and isoleucine.
Glycyl dehydropeptides of alanine, phenylalanine, norvaline, norleucine, and or-aminobutyric acid, and N-acetyl dehydropeptides of these amino acids, tyrosine, valine, and leucine have been prepared (l-3). Although the glycyl dehydropeptides were found to be hydrolyzed by tissue extracts, the only enzymatically susceptible N-acetyl dehydropeptide was that of alanine (1). In an effort to acquire...
متن کاملSome Aspects of the Metabolism of Leucine and Valine*
Cholesterol, which is formed by biological synthesis, contains angular methyl groups and branched side chains. A few other tissue constituents exist which contain branched chains, notably valine and leucine, but these are all essential dietary constituents. It has been shown (1) that acetic acid participates in the synthesis of the entire structure of cholesterol, but no obvious mechanism is kn...
